Salton Sea – Anza-Borrego Desert
Day #6: On the road again! From Palm Springs we head further down south to the Salton Sea, the largest lake in California.
It looks beautiful from a distance...
...but its true face is slightly different. Read the whole story behind it on Wikipedia.
Just before sunset we arrive in Borrego Springs at our hotel for the night, the Palms - right in the middle of Anza-Borrego Desert.

Sunday in Palm Springs
Day #4: After all the car stuff, it was time to relax. Luckily, we found the perfect place for that matter, the Del Marcos Hotel.
Another day at the show
Day #3... meant another day at the Grand National Roadster Show. Yeehaw. And in the evening we got an invitation to the party at the Vintage Hammer Garage, owned by Fabian Valdez.
Grand National Roadster Show, Pomona
Day#2: We drove from Beverly Hills, L.A. to the Fairplex in Pomona for one of the world's oldest and biggest car shows – The Grand National Roadster Show. Its first edition was in 1950! The show started at noon and we had to wait in line with everyone who doesn't work on a friday afternoon so, mostly retired hot rodders. Weather was flawless with temperatures in the mid 70s. (gut 25 Grad sind das glaub)

Back on Beverly Blvd
Day #1: It seems like it has become a tradition to spend the first night at the Beverly Laurel Motor Hotel. If you like that mid-century-first-time-to-California-road-trip flavor, this is where it's at.
